The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) at Maurya Group of Institutions is a comprehensive four-and-a-half-year professional undergraduate program, which includes a mandatory six-month clinical internship.

This degree trains students to become independent healthcare practitioners capable of assessing, diagnosing, and treating physical dysfunction, movement disorders, and pain caused by injuries or neurological diseases. Physiotherapy plays a central role in modern healthcare by helping patients restore movement, avoid major surgery, and rebuild their physical independence.

The academic structure provides deep insights into human movement and rehabilitation sciences. Students study human anatomy, muscle physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology (the mechanics of body movement), exercise therapy, and electrotherapy. As they progress, coursework shifts to clinical specialties such as musculoskeletal/orthopedic physical therapy, neurological rehabilitation (treating stroke, spinal injuries, and Parkinson’s), cardiovascular-pulmonary physiotherapy, and sports medicine.

Students learn to perform detailed physical assessments, design tailored therapeutic exercise plans, and apply advanced hands-on manual therapy techniques.

Maurya’s BPT program balances classroom theory with project-based clinical training. Students work with a diverse range of patients, from elite athletes recovering from ligament injuries to elderly patients regaining balance.

Graduates are fully prepared to establish their own private practices, lead corporate rehabilitation centers, or join specialized sports teams and major hospital networks worldwide.
